No way. It couldn't happen. could it? IT DID!! I made art!! well sort of... anyway.

You see, yesterday I went to oshkosh with my dad to help him move my uncle into his new apartment. he had to move because my cousin, tia, keeps stealing his stuff, and his house got foreclosed because of it . But he didn't want any of his D&D stuff anymore so because I was there he let me have his books. Unfortunately Tia stole most of his D&D stuff too... namely his dice. Regardless, I still got a monstrous compendium. Which, for those of you who don't know, is a gnourmous binder filled with pages upon pages of creature info... wonder of wonders!! And,as we were getting the last box, out of trhe last room, I glanced over at a nightstand, and low and behold!! A pile of minautures!! Yeah! There were about a dozen, really old lead, minautures, from like the 80's. fun, fun. As we were going home, I was looking through them, and most of their weapons were bent. Lead is soft, so I started bending them back. well, this one guy's sword broke off... I tried to hold the shard over a candle and then re-attach it, but the lead just curled up and turned black. Oh well. so I took out our Mighty Putty! (as advertised by the late, great. Billy... OH MY GAWD!! I don't know how to spell his last name. forgive me bahamut!!) I made him a little blade out of mighty putty and stuck on the remains of his old one. Worked like a charm. As I was painting some of the other miniatures, I thought, "Y'know, I bet I coud make my own..." So I tried. On the cover of the monstrous compendium, are three creatures. 1: A displacer beast, but that was much too past my skill level. 2: An umber hulk, which apparently was also past my skill level, but that didn't stop me from trying... i failed. 3: A beholder, which is basically a giant eye with a mouth, and tentacle-stalks with more eyes on top. I made it!! with Mighty Putty!!! which, let me tell you, is not easy. you have to move!! otherwise it hardens and your screwed. It looked really cool actually, and then I painted it. It still looks okay, but the eyes aren't exactly realistic. but that's ok I'm still proud. I tried to take a picture, but even the best one really didn't do it Justice. so if your dieing to see it, you'll just have to see it in person. Sorry

As they say, Beuaty is in the eye of the beholder. Wow... did I really just type that?
